About

In 2000, our Founder & CEO, John Davenport, saw a gap in the concrete market in Virginia and North Carolina, and the company was formed. Through strategic marketing, hard work, and persistence, Monte Cristo doubled its sales year-on-year for the next seven years. In 2007, we were recognized as one of the largest architectural concrete companies in the US. We then re-positioned our company out of residential construction to focus on our core services in commercial and industrial projects. This was due to our founder’s vision of the coming economic crisis in 2008. While all companies took a hit, Monte Cristo was able to continue its growth. In 2012, we moved our primary operations to Asia and completed projects in China, Laos, and the Philippines. In 2023, we expanded our operations into Europe.

Through the years, we have learned that the secret to success is our ability to adapt and innovate on the job site and in the markets we operate. Our commitment to our associates, our clients, and our communities, helps to set us apart from our competition and has built Monte Cristo as a leader in the concrete industry.
